ILRC Safe Practice
Safety is of paramount importance at ILRC and the many protocols we have in place are directed by Rowing Canada Aviron. These are prominently posted in the boat house and all rowers must familiarize themselves with these measures and abide by them. As a condition of membership all members must demonstrate the ability to swim and view the RCA safety video (linked below). In emergency situations our Emergency Action Plan is set in motion and the way rowers react in such situations is outlined in the Management of Emergencies document. The Safety Code and Cold Water Rules detail conditions that must be in place to minimize risk in our sport while our Code of Conduct outlines the expectations of all rowers while engaging in club activities.
