NATIONAL COME AND TRY ROWING DAY!
Hosted on May 28th 2022, Come and Try Day is Island Lake Rowing Club's open house and open boat day giving participants the chance to experience rowing for free.
Participants will have the opportunity to get in a boat and out on the water with instruction and direction from experienced rowers who are focused on providing a safe and fun experience for individuals and families. There will also be an opportunity to tour the club and learn more about making water sports an ongoing part of your life.
Eligibility: Anyone (ages 8+) with the desire to learn more about rowing.

National Come and Try Day is a Rowing Canada Aviron sanctioned Recreational Instruction Program. Given this, we ask that in addition to our registration, you complete the waiver by clicking: here!
Please complete this waiver for each attendee individually. For attendees under the age of majority, we ask that a legal guardian sign on behalf of the minor. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out!
Learn to Row
Our learn to row program gives participants an introduction to rowing based on best practice developed by Rowing Canada Aviron and Row Ontario. You'll learn the basics of the rowing stroke, rowing terminology, safe boat handling, and the elements of proper technique. Learn to Row is offered through an intensive weekend session or 2 days per week, in June. Upon successful program completion, LTR participants will have the option to row for the remainder of the season (additional fee required).
Eligibility: No rowing experience required. Must be able to swim. (ages 15- 99)

Friday 6:00 pm-8:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am-4:00 pm, Sunday 8:00 am-1:00 pm
Weekday Session
Fees: $ 195
Dates: Tuesday & Thursday 7:00 am-8:30 am beginning June 7, 2022
LTR: Full Season
Fees: $ 350 (includes fees for LTR Weekend or Weekday sessions)
Dates: Tuesday & Thursday mornings (July/August).
Upon completion of our LTR Weekend or Weekday program, ILRC coaching staff will provide coaching and moral support to LTR: Full Season members who demonstrate confidence and proficient boat handling skills to row independently.
