Eight new rowing shells, properly named.

6 single scull boats and 2 doubles were purchased to allow club members greater opportunities to row in singles and allow for physical distancing that has been essential through the pandemic. After speeches from the dignitaries and club members, Bill Stone, ILRC head coach, entertained the guests with a lighthearted boat naming ceremony where offerings were made to appease the gods of wind and water to ensure safe passage across the waters and a safe return to land.

Boat names were suggested by club members and the final selection was made by a committee of Board members. The new boats are: Tiny Dancer, Resilience, Now Oar Never, Escape, Serenity, Double Trouble, Born 2 Row and Destiny. Following the ceremony guests had the opportunity to mingle and take photos with the dignitaries and the new boats.
